NORTH PORT, Fla. — Vaughn Grissom is competing for the Braves’ shortstop job and will be evaluated in large part on performance in spring training games, manager Brian Snitker said Sunday. But Grissom goes into this position battle with veteran Orlando Arcia far more prepared and confident than a few months ago, thanks to his work with the venerable coach most know as “Wash.”
